Abstract

The Oriented Particleboard is a kind of new construction. It keeps not only the properties of the general particleboard, but also possesses the characteristics of natural wood. It’s bending strength parallel to grain is 360 kg/cm2, and vertical to grain 190 kg/cm2. The particle is in the flat-long shape. The heat-pressing conditions of the oriented particIeboard is similar to that of the general particlebcard. Orientation of particles can be achieved through mechanical means.
