At present, the study into the quality of the wood-based panels largely depends upon distructive tests of the product and man’s senses. With the application of the X-ray, density profiles of about 10 kinds of wood-based panels can be made reflected. The density protiies of the thin panels are generally even, while the thick panels are not. The density on the surface of the panels are higher thaT that of the interior.
