Abstract

This paper analysed the adaptability and gcnotypic stability of the growth in new poplar clones of the Aigeiros section in the nursery. Variance analysis indicated that the clone effect, site effect and clone x site interaction effect of 1-69 poplat x Simon poplar and 1-69 poplar x Nigra poplar were all highly significant. The regression coefficient (b) and deviation from regression mean square(S) of Eberhart-Russell model, the structural analysis parameters a and of Tai model, the Ecovalence parameter (W) of Wricke and the coefficient of determination (r2) of Pithus were used as adaptability and stability indexes of various poplar clones. Eventually, the correlations among growth, adaptability and stability in new poplar clones of the Aigeiros section were discussed.
