Abstract

The spatial distribution characteristics of fine roots of Punica granatum tree in the hilly area of Taihang Mountain were analyzed. The main results showed that vertically, the fine roots concentrated at the 0~80 cm soil zone where the amount of the fine roots accounted for 91.32% of the total, and varied with the soil depth in a negative exponent curve;horizontally, the amount of the fine root in the zone to 0~100 cm and 100~250 cm from the tree row accounted for 76.07% and 23.93% of the total respectively.
