With a long history of cultivation of Osmanthus fragrans, Guangxi Zhuangzu Autonomy Region is rich in Osmanthus fragrans cultivars resource. Osmanthus fragrans is the city-flower of Guangxi. In order to find out the status of Osmanthus fragrans cultivar resources in Guangxi, the author conducted a detailed investigation in this area. With the field-work and related references, the distributing situation in this area includes main distribution, common distribution and scatter distribution. To standard trees of Oarnanthus fragrans are chosen and 100 specimens are collected. All morphological characters of each cultivar are observed and recorded in detail. Osmanthus fragrans cultivar and distribution in Guangxi are made clear by the investigation. There are 43 cultivars of Osmanthus fragrans , which belong to four cultivars groups. There are 3 cultivars in Siji Group, 21 cultivars in Albus Group, 14 cultivars in Luteus Group, 5 cultivars in Arautiacus Group. Among these cultivars, 26 of them are new cultivars confirmed and recorded. The author introduces the characters of six excellent cultivars, there are ’ Wangchengyin ’, ’ Qixingyin ’, ’ Lijiangzhibo’, ’Jinlian’, ’Guifeihong’, ’Nanxidan’. This paper also introduces the application of Osmanthus fragrans in landscape of Guangxi. And the author also summarizes six sightseeing spots of Osmanthus fragrans in Guangxi.
