The urban road virescence is a fundamental part of the urban green system. As the ecological corridor, the street green system has played an increasingly important role in the entire city ecological system in addition to the landscape and visual effects. Based on the research of the plant diversity of the main street in Wuhan, the paper analyses the problem as well as the valuable experience in the design of street landscape planting and tries to give some practicable methods to deal with the strategy in the road virescence of the garden city construction.
