Abstract:
A new dynaaaic drainage metbod was established to study the absorption characteristics of clay on fibers. Effects of the fine content, shearing, mixing time. retention aids, furnish temperature and pH on the clay dynamic drainage absorption ability on the fiber were investigated. The results showed that the new dynamic drainage analysis method could evaluate the filler absorption ability on the fiber well. The absorption was one of the most important mechanistns on filler retention. The specific: surface area of the fiber had great effect on the filler absorption rate on the libel:. The retention additives nsage and their adding order had obvious effect on it, as well in addition, the temperature and stirring speed were closely related to the absorption.
