Abstract:
Genetic analysis of seedling stage dry-wood densities establishes the basis of seedling stage breeding and the high efficiency of wood breeding. Seedling stage dry-wood densities of 91 clones of F1 generation of Populus deltoides Bartr. cv. ’Lux’ (I-69/55) × P. euramericana cv. I-45 has been analyzed by ED-120T electronic density meter. Analysis of variance illuminates extremely significant difference of dry-wood densities of 91 clones. The result of genetic analysis show that seedling stage dry-wood density is controlled by medium heredity.
