Abstract:
The main cloned salt and drought resistance genes and th eir origination, genetic mechanisms, expression and stability in higher plants, and their salt and drought resistance in transgenic plants were reviewed.Meanwhi le, the signal transduction and transcriptional factor genes to increase dehydra tion-stress tolerance in transgenic plants were also introduced.
