Abstract:
The models for elastic modulus of fastgrowing poplar veneer in tangential direction were built,in which not only the density of wood,and splits of veneer back were included but also glue contents and compression ratios of the veneer were analyzed.Considering the splits and gluing spread,the predicting models based on composite material principle were divided into tangential modulus at Vg>Vp,0Vp showed that the relative errors were less than 15% between prediction and trial values.
