Abstract:
Adventitious bud regeneration from the in vitro leaf disk of Platanus occidentalis Linn was studied with different media and different factors during tissue culture. The resuites showed that the optimum medium for adventitious bud regeneration was: MS+0.5 mg/L IBA+1.5 mg/L BA+0.5 mg/L KT+200 mg/L Cef, and the frequency of adventitious bud regeneration could reach 100%. The best leaf position for adventitious bud regeneration was the first two leaves of a shoot from the top. The result showed that 200 mg/L Km could inhibit the formation of buds, the frequency o{ adventitious bud was totally stopped.
