Abstract:
To increase the designability of wood composites, the model of laminated wood composite hygroscopic deformation was built based on classical laminated plate theory (CLPT) in this paper. Take asymmetric plywood for example, the theory value of warping hygroscopic deformation was simulated considering the effect of veneer compression ratio and glue spreading on veneer line expansion coefficients and elastic properties, and the effect of moisture content on veneer elastic properties. The model was validated by measuring the warping of different structures plywood, which were treated under in the environment of invariable temperature and increasing humidity. The results showed the model could judge the warping direction of plywood rightly, and calculate hygroscopic deformation quantificationally.
