Abstract:
Evaluation of the sustainability of forest management is one of the important research contents of forest management. According to the principles of comprehensiveness and coordination and others, and contrasting with Ziwuling’s natural and socioeconomic conditions in Gansu, the evaluation indicator system for sustainable forest management was established. Based on this indicator system and the statistical data of the study area, using the entropy AHP method and the weighted index model, the operating conditions of Ziwuling was made a comprehensive evaluation. The evaluation results showed that the overall level of Ziwuling’s forest management was in the transition from traditional development to the primary stage of sustainable development, and this results coincided with the actual status of the Ziwuling’s forestry management. The results also showed that the entropy AHP method was a scientific and effective method which integrates the expert decision and the data information decision in one to evaluate the index weight, the weighted index model was a comprehensive evaluation model of sustainable forest management which takes into account the multitarget operation and the coordinated development requirements of the forest. Therefore, the study provided an operational method about the evaluation of sustainable forest management.
