Abstract:
Ecological benefits of Suzhou forest located in Jiangsu province were assessed based on ArcView3.2 software and CITYgreen5.4 model.The results indicated that carbon sequestration,stormwater runoff reduction,air pollution removal and carbon storage were 1.90×105 t/hm2, 165×107 m3/hm2, 1.10×104 t/hm2 and 8.42×106 t respectively. The ecological benefit reached 21.8 billion yuan in 2009; the average value of ecological benefits was 20.6 thousand yuan/(hm2〖DK〗·a); the proportion of ecological value of carbon sequestration, stormwater runoff reduction and air purification were 87.2 %, 8.2 % and 4.6 % respectively in 2009. The order of economic value of ecological benefits in a descending row was Wuzhong, Wujiang, Changshu, Zhangjiagang, Kunshan, Xiangcheng, Taicang, Hightech zone, Industrial site and Downtown area (Jinchang, Canglang and Pingjiang).
