Abstract:
The microstructure of 10 species of rectrices in Falconiformes was observed by electronic microscope, and the width of inner and outer web of central rectrices were measured. The results showed that there were differences in some parameters among 10 species, for example, the number of hooked barbule, the thickness, length and number of cilia and the number of ventral tooth from distal and proximal barbule, and nodular at the tip of barbule. By one-way ANOVA, we found that there were distinct differences in the ratio of inner to outer web of central rectrices among some species, for else, at least one parameter during analyzed three parameters revealed the difference between two species.
