Abstract:
The preparation method of longifolene with high purity was investigated by using heavy turpentine as the raw material with single factor experiment and orthogonal test in this paper. Influence of catalysts and their dosages, solvents and their dosages, reaction temperature, reaction time on the purity of longifolene were examined, and the optimum reaction conditions were determined as follows: sulfuric acid was selected as the catalyst, and its amount was 1%(based on the total weight of heavy turpentine); acetic acid was used as the solvent, and the ratio of acetic acid to heavy turpentine was 1:3(mL/g), reaction temperature was 20 ℃, reaction time was 4 h. The conversion of β-caryophyllene was near to 100% at above conditions.
