Abstract:
【Objective】Clarifying the spatio-temporal changes of garden land and their effects on ecological environment in mountainous City could provide a scientific basis for management and planning of garden land. 【Method】 This paper analyzed the spatio-temporal changes of garden land and their effects on ecosystem service value(ESV)from 2000 to 2010 in Guiyang City by using ArcGIS software and ESV coefficient method. 【Result】 The garden land area increased from 14 088.78 hm2 in 2000 to 15 255.72 hm2 in 2010. The increased parts located in the north and west regions. The prominent conversion type between garden land and other land use types was the conversion from cultivated land to garden land. The garden land area increased in each gradient, while the increase rate differed. The ESV for the garden land increased from 267.861 5 millionYuan in 2000 to 290.047 9 million Yuan in 2010. The increasing regions of ESV located in central and northern parts. The conversion of the cultivated land and grassland to the garden land as well as the conversion from the garden land to the woodland resulted in increases of 11.648 8 million Yuan, 0.000 9 million Yuan and 0.011 2 million Yuan, respectively. The conversions from cultivated land to garden land and from garden land to grassland resulted in decreases of 0.008 6 million Yuan and 0.000 9 million Yuan respectively. 【Conclusion】 Spatial pattern of garden land was deeply affected by terrain, transportation and urban location. The conversion from cultivated land to garden land is an important factor resulting in an increase of garden land and their ESV under the influences of rapid economic development and Green for Grain Project.
