Abstract:

【Objective】 Explore the effects of different altitudes on the growth and development of Chimonobambusa utilis at various stages, and provide a theoretical basis and technical support for the introduction, expansion and effective management of its plantation. 【Method】 Taking the bamboo forests in Dingjing Mountain and Qingba Mountain in Guizhou Province as the research object, twelve sample plots were established at different altitudes to observe the developing process of bamboo shoot developments, track the growth of young bamboo, and measure the growth index of bamboo. 【Result】 Along with the decreasing of altitude, the bamboo shooting time was delayed. However, the dynamic changes of the number of shoots were all followed a normal distribution trend, and the differences in the number of shoots were small. The high growth of young bamboos at all altitudes was consistent with the “S” curve, and the logistic regressive fitted the growth rhythm well. The maximum DBH(diameter at breast height) and bamboo height appeared at the middle high and the highest altitudes respectively, while these index reached the lowest at the lowest altitude. 【Conclusion】 The altitude had a significant impact on the growth of Chimonobambusa utilis, which shot earlier and grew better at higher altitudes.
