An algorithm for the inhaul operation of a cable yarding system is developed. By simulatingyarding performance of a specific turn, the mechanic and motion factors in the system can be described in detail. A major point in the simulation is to determine the load path and carriage path by specifying inhaul operation requirement. The simulation method should serve in cable system design, operation evaluation and production planning.
