Abstract: The paper investigated the influences of flake geometry and specimen size on the horizontal density variation(HDV)in Oriented Strandboard(OSB).The results showed that both of the variables had important effects on HDV in OSB.The computer image analysis consequence presented that the characteristic of void distribution(quantity and size)in the mat which caused by flake geometry was the main factor which resulted in the degree of HDV.
