Abstract: Introduced the measuring device of a new log diameter using the mobile laser. At first, it analysed the technology of this system and designed the automatic measuring process of log diameter. Then a methematical analysis of the measurement is given. Measurement errors are also analysed, at last the characteristics of this system are summed up.
