The biological character of Clostera anastomosis and its epidemic law in Shanghai were studied for the first time. There are 6~7 generations per year in Shanghai. They lay eggs on branches over winter. Epidemic of C. anastomosis is closely related to climate and environment. There is evidently positive correlation between it’s population and temperature, rainfall and coverage. And there is a negative correlation with stands density.
