Abstract: An introduction was made on the selection of backbone techniques of the computer network on the campus of Nanjing Forestry University. Compared with the advantages and disadvantages of some common backbone techniques,Fast Ethernet technique was adopted according to the demand and the scale of the investment of our network. It was convenient and easy when it comes to the application and upgrade in the future if this technique is adopted.
