Abstract: Wood industry is a cornerstone industry in the forestry system. The status of wood industry affects the construction and development of the whole forestry system. This paper briefly review the developing of wood industry of China in the 20th century, and analysis the disadvantage of present wood industry of China, furthemore propose the developing idea of wood industry of China in the 21st century. The wood industry of China would be of advanced science and technology, of specialties and some knowledge property right of itself, and of relation to several fields.
