Abstract
This paper dealt with the application of conjugate surface theory for the profile design of wood floor groove cutter. Based on the structural characteristics of wood floor groove cutter, the suitable profile design of wood floor groove cutter teeth was put forward by use of conjugate surface method. The profile design formula of wood floor groove cutter is based on the shape of part, application of principles of coordinate transformation, groove cutter mechanistic principles and conjugate surface theory in the fluxional geometry. It also provides theory for the wood floor groove cutter computer-aided design.
