<正>大参属(Macropanax)是荷兰植物学家Miquel于1855年建立的,当时记载了三种植物,到1864年他又发表了另一种,其中有两种植物被E.Regel(1863)和B.Seemann(1864)重新组合到罗伞属(Brassaiopsis)中。直到1942年,李惠林(H.L.Li)在发表《中国五加科植物》一文时,该属只记载两种。1965年后何景、曾沧江对五加科的进一步研究,使该属的种数增加至6种。1979年冯国楣、李雅茹在云南植物志中又描述了一新种;同年,Philipson在马来西亚植物志中也增加了一个新组合种,其种的数目便逐渐增加。

The genus Macropanax, endemic to Southeastern Asia with its centre of specia-tion in Southwestern China and Vietnam, was established by Miquel in 1855. Since then, species recorded had not been more than two or three until the years when G. Hoo (1965), G. M. Feng & Y. R. Li (1979), Philipson (1979), and C. B. Shang (1980) published their new species and new combinations which made the number of species in this genus amount to eight. In 1983 C. B. Shang published five further species and a new combination from Vietnam. In addition to the brief account of the genus, a key to all the 14 species, including their morphological descriptions, distributions, ecological conditions and citation of the specimens, arc presented in this paper.
