Analysis of surface crack propagation and fatigue life of granular base asphalt pavement

摘要: 为研究级配碎石基层结构的防裂缝效果,利用商业有限元程序Abaqus,建立了20结点等参立方体单元的有限元模型。采用奇异等参元法及断裂力学理论,计算分析具有级配碎石基层的半刚性基层沥青路面表面裂缝的扩展规律,并按裂缝产生和裂缝扩展两阶段方法,计算预估其相应的疲劳寿命。结果表明,级配碎石结构可提高沥青路面表面裂缝疲劳寿命,当级配碎石基层厚度为15~25 cm时,可以达到较好的抗裂效果。

Abstract: In this paper, a finite element analysis model of 20node isoparametric elements was established in the commercial FEM software ABAQUS to investigate the effects of the granular base structure on anti-crack. According to the fracture mechanics theory, the surface crack of asphalt pavement with granular base was numerically analyzed. The crack propagation life was evaluated by Paris formula. The anti-cracking effect of granular layer was validated. The analysis indicated that the structure of graded crushed stone can enhance surface cracking fatigue life of asphalt pavement. When the thickness of granular base is 15—25 cm, the pavement has better crack resistance.
