摘要: <正>美国农业部林业实验站、乔治亚州林业局和斯柯特造纸公司合作(Cooperat ion with the USDA Forest Service,Georgia Forestry Commission,and Scott paper Company)设计、制造了三套地面行走喷洒系统装置,并进行了林地试验,使用结果表明,上述三套系统有较好的经济性。

Abstract: Three spraying systems were designed, constructed, and field tested in cooperas tion with the USDA Forest Service, Georgia Forestry Commission, and Scott Paper Company. One system was designed to mount on commonly-used wildland tree planting machines and to apply a band treatment for herbaceous weed control. A top mounted 50-gallon fuel tank and a small electric pump along with a regulator and strainer formed the system. Another sprayer mounted on a small crawler tractor was used for spraying low brush and kudzu. A 250 gal. poly-tank, a high-form space-saver, was used with a hydraulic pump and cluster nozzle. Finally, a skidder-mounted spray system used a 600 gal mild steel tank, a gasoline powered pump, and 22-tip manifold nozzles. Both tractor-mounted sprayers injected herbicides into the water stream relative to ground speed. Application costs appear to be favorable for treatments of small tracts, sensitive areas, and around the margins of aerially-treated units.
