Fluorescence tracking analysis of poplar and phenolformaldehyde bonding interface

摘要: 运用图像处理技术,分析不同染色剂与染色工艺对杨木酚醛树脂胶合界面相荧光效果的影响,以研究胶合界面的最佳染色剂工艺,同时定量测定木材中的胶黏剂微观渗透及分布。三原色(RGB)分析结果表明使用质量分数为0.5%的甲苯胺蓝对杨木胶合界面染色30 min能够获得较好的染色效果,荧光跟踪技术能够有效地表征胶黏剂的渗透。随着与胶合界面距离的增大,胶黏剂宏观渗透面积百分比呈减少的趋势, 而胶斑的数量和面积百分比呈增加趋势,距离胶线越远,渗透形成的胶斑面积越大,胶斑渗透面积百分比可达90%以上。

Abstract: In order to find out the optimum dye and staining technique, and to quantify the gross adhesive penetration into wood utilizing fluorescence microscopy, an image analysis system was employed to quantify the effect on the fluorescence interface of sliced yellow poplar plywood of different dyes and staining technologies. The optimal dye and staining technology were confirmed amongst a variety of staining efficiency by controlling the different variables. The results indicated that 05% toluidine blue dying the interphase for 30 min gave the sharpest contrast between a cured adhesive and the wood substrate, and illustrated fluorescence tracking could characterize adhesive penetration effectively. Moreover, the percentage of gross adhesive penetration into wood declines increased as the distance increase from the flake surface. While percentage of total object and total penetration area increased with distance from the bondline surface, more far from bonding interface, more area droplet of adhesive occupied and percentage of penetration area could reach above 90% in this research.
