Synthesis of melamine-urea-formaldehyde resin adhesive

摘要: 对三聚氰胺脲醛树脂(MUF)的合成工艺进行了探讨和研究。通过调整合成工艺中的缩合温度及缩合时间,并根据甲醛(F)、三聚氰胺(M)、尿素(U)的不同配比,合成了6种MUF,并对其性能进行了检测和分析。工艺研究表明,将缩合温度从60 ℃提高到85 ℃,缩合时间缩短至30 min,所获得的MUF1—MUF5树脂澄清透明,无白色颗粒悬浮物以及沉淀分层现象,只有MUF6仍有一定数量的白色悬浮颗粒。树脂胶合性能测试结果表明:F与(M+U)的物质的量之比较高时树脂的耐水性优于物质量之比较低的树脂; 树脂的胶合强度既与F和(M+U)物质量之比有关,也与M和U的物质的量之比有关,调节好三聚氰胺和甲醛的比例是改善MUF耐水性的关键。

Abstract: Six kinds of the melamine-urea-formaldehyde resin(MUF)were synthesized by adjusting the technology of condensation time and according to the different proportion among the formaldehyde, melamine, urea in this paper. The properties of the resins were detected. The results showed that when the condensation temperature increased from 60 ℃ to 85 ℃, condensation time shorten to 30 min,the resins of the MUF1-MUF5 were clear and transparent without suspended white particles or stratification phenomenon, only MUF6 still had some suspended particle. The results of the bonding performance test showed that the water resistance of the high molar ratio of F/(M+U)were better than that of low molar ratio, the bonding strength was related to the ratio of F/(M+U)and M/U. The key of improving the water resistance of the MUF was to adjust the proportion of the melamine and formaldehyde.
