Abstract: This paper presents a novel process named "Nanlin Z" process for the preparation and design of glyphosate on pilot plant scale. The result of the anthors’ investigation shows that the process has reflected its simplicity of technology and the advanced design in its equipments and control system for safty operation, with hardly any waste and environmental contamination problems remained.The process has been approved at a probation meeting held by Science and Technology Bureau, the Chinese Ministry of Forestry, and it is proved to be eccono-mically feasible.
