Abstract: The practical statistical and applied software system for forest tree genetic improvement (SPQG) is both a new and powerful synthetical analysis system running on a wide selection of personal computers under a variety of operating system. It supplies the features most requested by tree breeders and genetic researchers. The SPQG system is an integrated system of software providing complete contral over data management, experimental analysis, multivariate analysis, genetic analysis, breeding designs, and figure generation.
