Abstract: There are the problems in choice of the instruments to survey the parameters of thermal energy engineering, so the author put forward the principle of selecting the instruments. In the text, the author cited the practical examples and discussed how to select the instrumental precision and range according to the requirements of measure accuracy and range. The other problems in choice of the instruments are also presented.
