Abstract: Taking Nanjing for example, this article establishes a set of evaluative index systems of urban ecosystem sustainable development.Index systems have four layers and thirty indeces. By using the analytic method of element to evaluate comprehensive strength, this article comes to a conclusion that Nanjing urban ecosystem has experienced three stages: slow development, stable development and rapid development.
