Abstract: According to the defect that the traditional mapping of CFI is by hand,this paper brings forward a new method of making sample plots setting map by superimposing DEM, DRG and DLG,making sample trees location map by polar coordinates and programming of database,making forest distribution map by interpolation method Thiessen polygon. Results showed that the technique of mapping of CFI based on GIS is scientific and efficient, the maps are fine and practical.
