Abstract

Tensile strength is one of main mechanics properties of lime-fly ash hound macadam. There are indications from experiment and study that aggregate grading, maximum particle size of aggregate, curing condition and age markedly influence splitting tensile strength of lime-fly ash bound macadam. The smaller maximum particle size of aggregate is or the finer grain is, the larger value of splitting ten- sile strength of lime-fly ash bound macadam is. The value of splitting tensile strength of lime-fly ash bound macadam increases when curing temperature or age increases.
