  Editor’s review and double blind peer review process description (including journal submission and editor review process, implementation and effectiveness of double blind peer review system, number and distribution of reviewers)
  (1) Submission and editor review process
  After submission, manuscripts are first checked by the Editorial Office. This includes checking for any problems with scope, submission information, formatting, standard of writing, copyright issues, and plagiarism. Manuscripts which pass the Editorial Office check are assigned to one of our Reviewing Editors.
  (2) Implementation and Effectiveness of Double blind Peer Review System
  JNFU strictly implements double blind peer review system. Each manuscript is subjected to document misconduct detection and preliminary review by the editorial department. In addition, manuscripts are reviewed by at least two external audit experts from the same profession and the review process for papers is double blind. If both external audit experts agree that the paper is of poor quality, publication is not recommended, and the article is rejected. If both external audit experts agree that the paper is of good quality, the article will be included in the final review. If both external audit experts agree to recommend publication after modifications, the authors will be notified of the required modifications, and the revised draft will be reviewed again before entering the final review. If one of the external audit experts believes the article to be of good quality and recommends publication while the other expert considers the paper to be of poor quality and does not recommend publication, then, a third expert will be invited to review the article, and acceptance, rejection or modification will be decided according to the third expert’s opinion. The revised manuscript will be reviewed and approved by the expert before entering the final review.
  The strict implementation of double blind peer review system in the Journal of JNFU has achieved good results. It has strictly controlled academic issues and avoided sentimental issues, which has ensured the quality of the papers published by the magazine.
  (3) The number and distribution of reviewers
  Currently, there are six full-time experts available for the first review. In all, 123 external audit experts, including 14 final review experts, are available from Chinese Academy of Sciences, Chinese Academy of Forestry, Beijing Forestry University, Nanjing Forestry University ,Northeast Forestry University, Fujian Agriculture And Forestry University, Central South University of Forestry and Technology, Zhejiang A&F University ,Lanzhou University , the college of Life Sciences, Sichuan University , Shandong Agricultural University, South China Agricultural University ,Anhui Agricultural University, Institute of Botany, Jiangsu Province and Chinese Academy of Sciences, and University de Puerto Rico( USA ), Stephen F. Austin State University(USA), Alabama Agricultural and Mechanical University(USA), University of British Columbia(Canada), Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences( Sweden).
