Based on analysis of existing state of bamboo industrial utilization in China and the situation of the WTO entrance,the exploiting bamboo resource in the way of getting rip of the outdate idea "substituting bamboo for wood" and creating the opinion "bamboo surpassing wood" is put forward. At the same time the idea of playing great attention on bamboo chemical utilization and exploiting bamboo charcoal applying technique is described in detail.The formation,classification,and potential application fields of bamboo charcoal and bamboo vinegar is simply introduced as well.
