Abstract: This paper studies the methods of torsional vibration natural frequencies test of steam turbine generator rotor system,and introduces the excitation methods and some key techniques in the field test.The test results indicate that both lower order modes and several higher order modes can be obtained by the method of steady state unbalanced currents excitation.
