Air Environmental Quality Assessment of the Main Types of Greenland in Yichang City

Abstract: SO2,NOx and TSP,which are factors of air pollution in six types of typical greenland in Yichang city were contrastively monitored.Fuzzy mathematics methods were taken to comprehensively assess the air environmental quality of different types of landscape.This result showed that there were three types of greenland belonging to level Ⅰ,two types of greenland belonging to level Ⅱ,but no one belonging to level Ⅲ and level Ⅳ in the five types of greenland,according to national standard of air environmental quality.This result indicated that the air environmental quality of Yichang city was good on the whole.There was significant difference in air environmental quality among the six types of greenland.The difference was closely related to the vertical structure of the plantation and to the total leaf areas in a definite greenland.Greenland types with a structure of arborshrubherb had better effect on dust detention and detrimental gas absorption.But Greenland types with unitary structure and less total leaf areas,such as lawn and afforesting zone along streets,and so on,had obviously worse effect of air purification,and the air quality was relatively worse,compared to that of the former.
