Establishment of the Kinetics Equation of the Curing Reaction Between CaCO_3 Particles and UP Resin by Dynamic DSC

Abstract: The curing reactions of UP/CaCO3 composite is studied by DSC at different temperature raising rates.The apparent activation energy,reaction orders and the preexponential factor for the kinetic equation of the reaction are calculated based on the results of the dynamic DSC curves,and finally the kinetic equation of the curing reaction of the CaCO3/UP resin composite is established.The results show that the DSC curves of UP/CaCO3 composite will give an single peak respectively,but the temperature of the peak gets,higher when the heating rate of the composite is raised.And the reaction order of the composite will also vary with the heating rate,the greater the rate is,the smaller the reaction order is.In addition,the mathematic model can be applied to stand for the curing reaction of UP/CaCO3 composite approximately under the experimental situations.
