Abstract: The effects of bulb storages on growth traits and endogenous hormones of 4yearold bulbs of Lycoris radiata were investigated. The results showed, compared with the control, 5 ℃ cold storage for 30 and 45 days delayed the florescence 12 and 30 days, and the leaf sprouting period was also postponed 23 and 46 days, respectively. At the same time, the blossoming rate and contents of GA increased significantly. However, as for the processing of 14 ℃, there was no blossoming and leaves were sprouted ahead of 29 to 31 days. In addition, the contents of endogenous IAA, ABA, and IPA were also significantly increased. But the content of endogenous ZR was significantly reduced. It also showed that treatments of 22 ℃ and 28 ℃ storage for 45 days the florescence was ahead of 10 and 16 days, respectively, and the leaf sprouting period was also significantly advanced. But the blossoming rate and the level of GA/ZR were relatively lower. Though the storage treatment of 5 ℃could significantly improve the blossoming rate, it also correspondingly delayed the florescence. The treatment of 14 ℃could significantly extend the vegetative stage, but it was not conducive to flowering. On the other hand, the treatment of above 22 ℃could significantly advance the florescence, but the blossoming rate was lower. In addition, the high content of ZR and lower content of GA in stored bulbs were benefit to flowering.
