Abstract:

【Objective】Ribes fragrans Pallas is a deciduous shrub of the genus Ribes. The discovery of Ribes fragrans is of great significance to research on local plant species diversity. It also contributes to the study of the origin and classification of ribes.【Method】We observed the morphological characteristics of R. fragrans and compared them with those of R. graveolens Bunge from similar species. We observed pollen by electron microscopy and then illustrated its morphological characteristics. 【Result】The survey showed that R. fragrans is distributed on the western slope of the Greater Khingan Mountains, China, which is the southern most natural distribution area of this species.【Conclusion】R. fragrans is a newly recorded type of angiosperm in China. At present, only one population has been identified, which is in urgent need of protection and preservation. The certificate specimens were kept in NEFI.
