Abstract:

【Objective】 This study investigated the relationship between community residents’ perceptions and attitudes towards national parks, analyzed the measures to improve supports, and promote the coordinated development of the national park protection and community.【Method】 Taking the residents of the Jiangxi area adjacent to the Wuyi Mountain National Park system pilot area as the empirical research object, the questionnaire method was used to conduct household surveys, the SPSS and Mplus software were used to analyze the correlation and structural relationship among the four structural variables of the community residents’ positive perception, negative perception, management identification and construction support for the national park, and to explore the opinions and views of community residents on the construction for the national parks.【Result】 Community residents’ positive perceptions of national parks can help increase their identification of national park management and construction support; negative perception significantly reduces their identification of the national park management, but do not affect their support for the national park construction; community residents identification of the national park management helps them take a more positive attitude towards the construction of the national parks.【Conclusion】 To enhance community residents’ identification of national park management and increase their support for the national park construction, Wuyishan National Park should scientifically plan and improve the management system to promote the unified protection and management across provinces, conduct in-depth research on the path to achieve a harmonious coexistence between man and nature, and actively explore ways to realize the value of ecological products, etc.
