Abstract: According to the Standard of People’s Republic of China-Specifications for Assessment of Forest Ecosystem Services(LY/T 1721—2008), the value of forest ecosystem services of Miaoshanwu Nature Reserve were evaluated by distributed measurement methodology and the services were quantitatively visualized by appling ArcGIS sofware to reveal their value. The results showed that the nature reserve had yielded enormous forest ecological benefits, it played an important role in local and surrounding people’s life and production. The total value of forest ecosystem services in Miaoshanwu Nature Reserves was 4.19×108 yuan/a. The value of different ecosystem services was: atmosphere environment purification > water conservation > carbon fixation and oxygen releas > biodiversity conservation > soil conservation > nutrient accumulation. The value of the ecological services of different forest types in reserve was different and the value of per unit area ranked as follows: Cunninghamia lanceolata > Schima superba > oak = hardwood > Phyllostachys heterocycla > Pinus massoniana. The visualization of different ecosystem service value indicated that oak was out standing in water conservation, soil conservation, and biodiversity conservation, and Phyllostachys heterocycla was superior in nutrient accumulation and atmosphere environment purification.
