Abstract:

‘Shuofeng’ is a new blackberry cultivar selected from F1 hybrids of ‘Kiowa’(♀) and ‘Hull’(), with complementary advantages of its parents. ‘Shuofeng’ exhibits excellent growth characteristics including thornlessness, good erectness and strong growth potential, as well as the obvious advantages in a higher yield, a larger fruit size and a longer fruit mature period. In future, ‘Shuofeng’ could be promoted as an advantageous thornless blackberry cultivar in the main production regions of China.

Key words: thornless blackberry, single fruit weight, new cultivar, Rubus L.
