Abstract

【Objective】The construction of characteristics town is one of the important ways of Rural Revitalization. This paper analyzes the development of succulent plant industry in Northern Jiangsu, and provides a reference for building characteristics town by use of the characteristic plant’s products as an industry chain. 【Method】Taking the succulent plant industry in Gengwei Town, Shuyang County, Jiangsu Province as a sample, its basic situation is understood through questionnaires and field visits. The Diamond model is used to analyze the development status of succulent plant industry and its ecommerce in Gengwei Town. 【Result】At present, there are some problems in the development of succulent plant industry and ecommerce in Gengwei Town, such as a low degree of standardization, asymmetric information, more fake products sold online, and insufficient supervisions. In view of the practical problems in the construction and development of agriculture and forestry in Gengwei Town, and the development of succulent plant industry, standardized product certification and classification system, establishment of authoritative professional third-party platform, purification of network environment and strengthening of professional personnel team construction should be carried out to promote the development of succulent plant characteristics industry in Gengwei Town. 【Conclusion】Combined with the current situation of succulent plant industry in China, the advantages of e-commerce should be fully utilized to support the construction of characteristics towns with the development of characteristics industries. An industrial model chain which is suitable for the construction of characteristics economic plants and characteristics towns in China may be planned.
