Abstract

Reflectance spectral was measured by using ASD FieldSpec HandHeld radiometer. Water samples for suspended solids concentration, chlorophyll-a, DOC measurements were collected at the same time. Based on the analysis of reflectance spectral and DOC concentration, it was found that the reflectance at the band 745nm and the first derivative at 665nm and 695nm could be used to retrieve DOC concentration. MERIS data became a potential remote sensing data for monitoring inland lake water’s quality due to its high spectral, time and radiance resolution. By simulating MERIS data based on spectral reflectance, it was found that DOC concentration could be effectively estimated at ratio of band 10 and ratio of band 9 and 12.
