Simulation Analyses on Dynamic Matrix Control in Papermaking Machine

Abstract: Because of the long time lag and the intense coupling between basis weight and moisture, a multi-variable DMC system model of a typical fourdrinier papermaking machine was developed in SIMULINK to make a simulation analysis. The results showed that the control system is stable, robust, and has a good performance at anti-jamming, when the DMC arithmetic was applied with the correct design of the parameters.
