Abstract: This research measured the indicators by making field survey and setting sample plots to establish a health assessment indicators system of Ledum Larix gmelinii of coldtemperate zone at stand level. Experimental object was LedumLarix gmelinii of Forest Bureau of Genhe of Inner Mongolia. It filtered indicators ,determined the weight ,built assessment model with method of principal component analysis. The health level of LedumLarix gmelinii were divided into 4 class with cluster analysis. It finished health assessment for the original forest, shelter wood cutting forest and clear cutting forest in the study area. The results showed that encompassed such four aspects as productivity, soil nutrients, stand structure, stand resistance and resilience 22 indicators in establish the health indicators system of LedumLarix gmelinii in coldtemperate zone. The assessment results showed that the health level of original forest is the highest andⅠlevel (health); successive cutting forest is the second and Ⅱlevel (subhealth); clearcutting forest is the lowest, and one third forests are Ⅲ level (general health), twothird forests are Ⅳ level (poor health).
